Our Erika

Our Erika follows Olympic track cyclist Erika Salumäe from an orphaned childhood through the Soviet sporting system to two Olympic gold medals, in the individual sprint — at the 1988 Seoul Games and, four years later in Barcelona, for a newly independent Estonia.

Behind the record times and medals, the film searches for the person underneath: what winning has cost her, and whether it has answered the questions she set out to answer.
